Reporting Incidents/Accidents

As an agency within the Commonwealth of Virginia, George Mason University complies with all regulations (federal and state) regarding the University community’s health and safety, the stewardship and accountability of state property, and mitigating losses.

Therefore, as a state employee you are responsible for properly reporting all incidents/accidents in a timely manner to the appropriate departments (see chart below).  University Policy #1404 outlines the requirements for reporting incidents and accidents.  In addition, University Policy #2104 outlines responsibility for accounting for equipment within your department.
